What a week! While I didn’t devote a post to the monumental debate in Washington this week, lots of great personal finance bloggers did. In a rather unusual move, I’m starting off my round-up with a round-up. Being Frugal provides a great series of links to posts on the crisis and how it may affect you. Be sure to check it out.
I participated in three carnivals this week. Briefly, here are the carnivals and highlights for your enjoyment:
Carnival of Debt Reduction hosted by No Debt Plan:
- The Personal Financier had an excellent analysis of keeping up with others.
- PaidTwice offers timely inspiration on how to accomplish goals.
- I liked Saving Advice’s ideas on how to save money by getting out of bed earlier.
- I added my discovery of sneaky shopping triggers.
- My Dollar Plan shares how to leave the workforce early.
- Retired at 47 offers an interesting calculus to use when considering spending.
- Gather Little by Little just sold a car and has good advice on how to sell yours.
- My post included my thoughts on money and marriage.
Thanks to My Two Dollars for hosting the Festival of Frugality when the host bailed out!
- Blueprint for Financial Prosperity reminds us why homegrown veggies are great.
- Cash Money Life asks if being frugal is a game or a necessity.
- Little House in the Suburbs (love the title!) makes homemade “maple” syrup.
Enjoy the posts and your weekend! I’ll be back on Monday with a review of my month and new financial goals for October.
